CISD Bond - Public Notice: Bid information

Calvert ISD will receive competitive sealed proposals from qualified vendors via email to [email protected] or in person at the Calvert ISD Administrative Office, 310 Hickory St, Calvert TX 77837 on the third floor until 2:00 PM Thursday January 27, 2022 for the new construction of the Calvert ISD K-12 School.

The estimated construction cost is $7,000,000.

The project manual and drawings are available for viewing and download at Miller Planroom https://planroom.millerids.com/

All proposers must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond with their bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required on this project.

There will be a non mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting held at Calvert High School, 310 Hickory St, Calvert, Tx 77837 on January 20, 2022 at 4:30 PM CDT.

Bond Fact Fridays

Every Friday in March and April, Calvert will post information to the public through our school notification system with information sent to parent and student email as well as phone and text messages.

General Homestead Exemption: You may apply for homestead exemptions on your principal residence. Homestead exemptions remove part of your home's value from taxation, so they lower your taxes. For example, your home is appraised at $100,000, and you qualify for a $25,000 exemption (this is the amount mandated for school districts), you will pay school taxes on the home as if it was worth only $75,000. Taxing units have the option to offer a separate exemption of up to 20 percent of the total value. You can find Homestead Exemption FAQs here
