Help Calvert ISD Improve
Playground Equipment
Dear Patron:
Change is on the horizon here at
Calvert ISD. We are continually working to improve our total
instructional program and are asking your assistance as we make
improvements to W. D. Spigner Elementary School. We are currently
planning to renovate the playground making it a safer and more
convenient haven for our young students and their parents.
The students of W. D. Spigner
Elementary are very much in need of updated playground equipment. The
current equipment is antiquated and does not meet the latest playground
equipment guidelines.
Unfortunately, updating the equipment
to meet the guidelines for playgrounds is an expensive restraint to the
campus. The campus has been raising funds through candy sales and other
programs but still has not reached its goal of $15,000. We are asking
community members and agencies to take an active part in assisting the
school through monetary contributions. While requests this time of year
may be a financial constraint, any monies contributed will have a
life-long reward for each child who will use the new equipment purchased
with your generous contributions.
All contributors will be recognized
for their tax deductible contributions toward the purchase of playground
equipment for the students of W. D. Spigner Elementary. Anyone who
contributes $500 or greater will be honored on the recognition board at
the playground.
